It is always weird to write about one's self. The best way, is to imagine if I were being interview on Larry King (when he was working at CNN).
Q: What do you enjoy most about the advertising business?
A: The art of persuasion, while being the most creative during tight deadlines. Many don't enjoy that pressure. However, that feeling tells you who you really are. Like a surgeon on a tight timeline, you get this tunnel vision and stay focus on the task(s).
Q: If you were not in this business, what would you do?
A: I often thought about being a standup comedian. However, I really enjoy being a creative. I don't see what I do for a living – as work. I truly do feel blessed for utilizing my talents.
Q: What was your upbringing like?
A: I was born in Hong Kong while it was still under British ruling. My parents relocated to the States when I was 3 years old. My father is a self made man. Typical rags to riches story. I value my parents very much. I witness a man who did not know the English language and struggled with 2 jobs, while attending night school for English. He got his contractor's license and worked hard 6 days a week. I guess this is where my workaholic trait(s) comes/came from?
Q: Aside from advertising, what do you do for fun?
A: I love photography, sketching with graphite (mostly mechanical pencils, a bit old school) snowboarding and olympic lifting. Occasionally, I write.
Q: Any last words of advice?
A: It's true, cherish everything. Live your life to the fullest. Less is more. Laughter is the best medicine. Quality over quantity. Let go and Let God.
